I love you Phillip Morris

I have just watched I love you Phillip Morris earlier and it was really hilarious. The trailer made my jaw drop because it is the first time that I have seen Jim Carrey and Ewan Mcgregor act as a gay couple. The scene wherein Jim is shouting I love you to another dude is really something so I gave in to my  curiosity and decided to watch this.

Just to give you an overview on what this movie is all about.

I Love You Phillip Morris is a comedy-drama film based on the real life events of con artistimpostor, and multiple prison escapee Steven Jay Russell played by Jim Carrey. While incarcerated, Russell falls in love with his cell mate, Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor). After Morris is released from prison, Russell escapes from prison four times in order to be reunited with Morris.

There is no eww factor on this movie because there is no love scene or kissing scene shown. There is a scene though wherein Jim commented on Ewan becoming really good at what he was doing it and then they both emerged from the boat looking very happy. For me the scene was done in a way that made the audience laugh instead of being grossed out so you don't have to worry about kids getting the wrong idea.

The performance of Ewan Mcgregor is simply amazing because his performance there was believable. He really did look, act and speak like a gay man and if I don't know him well enough as an actor then I would have believed that he is really swinging the other way.

I also like the story line and I was amazed on how a con artist can escape and then go back to prison for his partner without being recognized. His ideas were ingenious, creative and I was in a way sad that he used all those talent to swindle other people and to embezzle a lot of money. Imagine faking the symptoms of  aids and then planning your death.Oh no i'm giving too much away. Anyways if you want to just laugh your problems out or to have a break from all the myth and vampire inspired movies then you can watch I love you Phillip Morris.

Cant get over this

I can't help but notice how creative the commercials are compared before.I usually find myself tuning in whenever they appear and I enjoy the humor they inject on it.

Here is one of the commercial that makes me laugh at loud. The story line shows what you will get for a mere 20 pesos .In this commercial, the guy wanted to go to a bar using the 20 pesos that he has.

Watch what will happen to the guy

Light at the end of the tunnel

Remember what I told you about my job hunting .Well I had a test earlier on a call center company for the position of Performance Specialist, the test was easy enough and I finished it in 30 minutes or less. When I informed the HR that I am finished she informed me that there is an opening for a Reports Specialist. She asked if I am interested and I said yes.She asked me to keep my lines open and sure enough after an hour I received a call saying that I am scheduled for an interview on Monday.

I don't know if I'll be accepted there but then again they mentioned that I am very qualified for that position, so I'll just keep my fingers cross. I'll just wait whichever company will hire me first .

Writing on autopilot

Hi guys I can barely keep my eyes open while I am writing this blog post. You see I woke up very early because I was scheduled to be interviewed by 9am at East Tektite Bldg.I have allotted at least 2 hours of travelling time just so I can get there early.

The line at the MRT is so darn long and so is the walk to the building so by the time I got there,I was sweating off my powder and I looked so haggard. To make things complete I was handed 5 pages full of complete the sentence type of test, 2 situational questions and an essay composing of 100 pages which includes my work experience, my weak and strong points plus my future plans.

Whew, the interview didn't last long though because the salary they offered is so low and from what the HR told me, the position is for fresh graduates and the salary that I am asking belongs to a supervisor already gulp.So she just said that she will contact me when there are other openings that might offer a higher salary.

Anyways I have to wake up early tomorrow since I have another interview this time in Makati. It is a non agent position so I don't know maybe they can afford my salary range and hopefully I'll have a permanent job whichever comes first.

I'll be logging off for now since I have to print my resume, decide what to wear and hopefully sleep early so I can get my much needed zzzzz. no insomnia for me at this time.

I'll let you know how it goes. :P

Generation Me

I am currently subscribed to a newsletter called iheartdaily.com and it is interesting to find this letter at a time like this. This is what it says.

If you were born between 1982 and 1999, you are part of Generation Me... and you've gotten a bum rap.

As the name indicates, Generation Me has the reputation of being a bunch of entitled, lazy, self-centered youth (yes, this is what people are saying about you). But a
new study reveals you're no more self-centered than teens were 30 years ago!

Questions given to more than 477,000 high school seniors from the years 1976-2006 prove that teens today are no different than they were a few decades ago. However, it did show some disparities -- the current generation is more comfortable with race relations and more informed about social issues like hunger, poverty and energy shortages. Also, you guys have higher educational expectations. Huzzah!

So where is this bad reputation coming from? Well, just like parents thought Elvis Presley's
hip swiveling was scandalous, and long-hairedhippies were counter-culture nut jobs, every generation sees the next as different... and in Generation Me's case, different sounds pretty good!

Now isn't that interesting hehehhe

Just Ranting

I am sure that the term "You don't understand" has been well known to be uttered by teenagers to their parents. If one will copyright that term and register it as his own, he would be a billionaire by now because of the number of times it is used by almost everybody.

The reason that I mention this is that I am breath away  from doing exactly that, uttering that phrase and so much more.My relationship with my parents have deteriorated ever since I have lost my job and regardless of how I try to remedy that, it always end up being worst than before. You see my parents are very religious and they are they type who are very active in religious activities. I am the only one that is not participating so they gave me that talk that consists of my soul burning right now on the pits of hell because I don't have the time nor the willingness to go to church every Sunday.

Because I resisted I have been called a number of names in my face. Two of their favorite are me being a Satanist and an Atheist. They say I don't believe in anything anymore and that I have lost my way. Seriously I don't remember engaging in Satanist activities nor uttering anything that is considered blasphemy by the church. If you could call my addiction to the Net as something Non-catholic then fine I guess my soul is indeed fried by now.

Besides my soul being damned eternally by these actions, I am also accused of acting immaturely because I am often speaking my mind on things that they consider not my business like telling them that minor subjects are as hard as the major ones.Basically I am not allowed to interrupt their sermon even though what they are saying is completely untrue and saying something regardless if it's uttered on a low voice is a sign that I have no respect for them whatsoever. Seriously I thought that parents are there to give advice when asked, provide guidance when it is needed and to understand their child's emotions before judging them.

Apparently I've read the wrong book. The only fault that I do am guilty right now is not helping out with the cooking, not having a job therefore I don't anything to give them and that I am online 8 hours straight.I do understand how hard it is to be a parent and how hard it is to earn money really I do. That is why I am striving hard to do online work so I can earn while I am waiting for a permanent job, since they don't have any idea how that works then for them it looks like that I am wasting my time doing the same thing over and over again.

Since my dad finds it hard to do the laundry, I am the one doing my own laundry. My everyday expense when I'm applying is coming from my backpay and the last time that I asked for money was 6 years ago and even if I ask, the maximum would be 20 pesos. When I go to the grocery, I also throw in some products that I thought would be useful for the house. Even if I am not the one doing the cooking, I am the one who cleans up everything that has been used. From the plates, spoons, glasses, pots and I also clean the dining table so they can't say that I am just there to be served.

It is really hard to keep up with all the insults and not having the right to defend myself because it is a sign of disrespect is something that is slowly beginning to get in my nerves. If they are saying things that sounds  rhetorical or ends in a question then I am not allowed to say anything but if I don't listen then I am considered heartless.Seriously I don't know where to place myself anymore.

Money is also a topic that often comes up when I was still working, when I don't give my part then I am selfish and is keeping it all for myself. If I do then I am just using money to get my way here in the house. They do treat me better when I have something to give, they don't say anything bad but they often say that it's the money they're after. Now all I'm hearing are that bills are very high because of my using my laptop. I can't even say anything anymore here most probably because of that too.

I think when I have a job again, i'll probably think about getting my own place.Sure it is hard and my expenses would probably be doubled because of that but I guess it would probably be for the best.I can be myself without the pressure and I can also prove to myself that I can survive on my own without relying on them for anything. So far I can fend for myself and I guess I  am only relying on them so I  can have a place to rest my head but since I  can't even rest without getting an earful then it's time to spread my wings and learn how to fly.

I know it sounds that I am proud but I am not, I just wanted the right to be heard and to be treated like a normal human being without the name calling. Anyways, my mom will talk to me about those things and as usual I know what to expect. Don't say anything stupid, just nod, say yes even though you don't want too and accept everything even though they are not true.Wish me luck

Coming this April

I have been waiting for a couple of new books to come out and I know what you are thinking, more vampires.Yeah I guess you could call that I'm addicted to it right now but till I find another genre then I'll stick with my vampires.
These are some of the books that will be coming out this April.

The book has been released but I am waiting for the paperback version of this book so I can read what had happened to Sookie.I have  already finished All Together Dead and I can't buy the hardcover version because it is so expensive. Based on Amazon, the paperback version of this will be released on April 7,2010.
This is latest installment for the House of Night Novel.Based on the cover I think this will be one hell of a book since the last one has so many things going on.My officemate didn't like this one bit because the story seemed  too slow for her but for me,this is a series that is well worth your time. There  are a lot of twist and turns and they have made vampires look regal by being able to go to the sun and having really intricate tattoos every time they gain a new ability. The hard cover  is set to be released on April 27,2010.No updates when the paperback version will be available.

Now this title really caught my interest. The Morganville Vampire Series is so very different from the other series because there is not much of a romance going on here. However it compensates with thrilling scenes and a lot of interesting plots that will leave you at the end of your seat. I can't wait to get my hands on this and good thing that they are releasing it as a paperback version on April 27,2010.

Can't wait for April to come so I can feast my eyes on these books.Too bad I still don't have the job to sustain all of my cravings for a good read.Oh well...

Better than Neobux!

Remember that I've told you that I'm addicted to PTC sites.Well I've discovered a new site that pays instantly and I don't need a lot of referrals to reach the minimum amount. They have at least 12 ads everyday that you can click on.I just reached my payout earlier and when I cash out, I received it after a couple of minutes.

No waiting for 30 days or waiting for the server time to be 00:00 which is 6:00 am here. This is a new site by the way and since I didn't invest anything on it, I decided to give it a try. I told my boyfriend about this site and he is also on his way to reaching the payout of $2.00. I just hope that this site will here permamently because this is the first site that offers a lot of ads in a day.

Trying my hand on forum posting

I have accepted a job to post on forums with links posted on my signature. It was entertaining at first and then I ran out of forums to post into that allows links. At one point when I tried registering, my registration was not accepted because they are implementing a rule to not allow spammers on the forum.

I was shocked and I am beginning to think that this is harder that I thought it should be.Plus the fact that I am beginning to be tagged as a spammer from a forum.I don't want my i.p address to be banned and tagged as a spammer and I don't want my email address to be blocked as well.

Anyways I think I can't continue on doing this.I'll try to find other means to earn money without risking my i.p address and my email address.

My green headphones

My brother is into colored headphones nowadays and comes home wearing a blue version of this.Since I wanted to watch movies without them hearing it, I asked my brother to buy me a headphone that is colored green. The original version of this cost 2000 pesos and the only difference is that the foam inside doesn't look very wrinkled so I'm just settling for the imitation since there are no special features that i'll be missing.I love green and having headphones with that color will be awesome to say nonetheless.

Isnt it Ironic

Just finished my interview earlier and I'm not sure if it's successful or not. Based on what the HR told me, I was not able to pass the qualification of the original job I was applying to and she mentioned that there currently have an opening for two jobs. She asked me which one i would want and I think I made a mistake on choosing. I'm hoping I can be considered for the the more challenging part when I get the chance to talk to the Hiring Manager either this week or next week.

While I was in the area, I got the chance to meet my previous officemates and I was kinda shocked on what to come.Of course I expected it to happen sooner or later but what surprised me is their choice to not pursue something that is somewhat closer to what they were doing. If I were in that position I would immediately say yes but that's just me.For me I would be lucky if I get a job like that again but the chances of that happening is a million to one.

It's really ironic ,I would want to get a  job that would let me learn new things and I don't understand how someone can say no to that ...It doesn't make any sense at all..

Anxious for the Interview

I have an interview for a shipping company tomorrow.I know it is slightly far from what I usually do but it's worth  a try. Right now I am anxious, excited and hoping to somehow be considered regardless of my background. Another company did not pursue their interest with me because I didn't finish the test so I'm keeping myself in check by not expecting anything.

Oh well need to sleep early so I can  wake up early so wish me luck guys....

Alice In Wonderland

I just watched Alice In Wonderland and what can I say Johnny Depp did it again. His performance as the Mad Hatter is outstanding. It's like he was born a chameleon, bringing every character to life and in turn make us believe everything as if its real.

He is the only actor that I can think of who can play any weird character and make it as his own. I can't imagine the likes of Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt donning the same kind of make up and pulling off a believable act like he does.

Anyways, the movie does not have that wow factor but it did  manage to tickle my fantasy and kept my eyes glued on the screen. My knowledge of the story was limited to Alice being a child so I would  assume that this may be the sequel of that story. It reminded me vaguely of the other Movies just like Chronicles of Narnia who brought back the Kings and Queen so they can be saved from the tyrants.

I love how they managed to think out of the box with this one. The hilarity of the situation and how they attach a certain quirk on every character making them stand out on their own is impressive. The Cheshire cat was brilliantly done and everything about it from the way he talks, vanishes and it's weird sarcastic humor was like from what I've seen from the animation.

The cards were given a new identity on this movie and they appeared to be a legit and formidable force to be reckon with because of their armor. However they did have their old flaw, falling like dominoes.

All in all the movie was entertaining and I won't hesitate to recommend it. The actors and  actresses who took part in this made everything real and believable. The story from which it originated may be aimed for children but they certainly widen the audience by giving us another glimpse of the characters and how they have grown.

Waiting For Inuyasha

I'm not really waiting for him to come here.I'm loading the 1st and 2nd part of Episode 23 of Inuyasha: The Final Act  so I can watch it.It was scheduled to be shown in Animax but I was not able to catch it so here I am,anxious and excited to see what had happened after Magatsuhi was beaten by Sesshomaru.

My friend told me he didn't believe this is going to be the last season of the show. The anime has been running for 6 years and up until now they haven't been able to defeat Naraku.Maybe they will now based on what is currently happening on Episode 22.

There is a possibility that there will be some kind of twist and that a new villain will come to spread and terror all over the land however since this is the Final Act, I think they will just tie up the loose ends.

What I am really waiting for is the conclusion of Kagome and Inuyasha's love story. With Kikyo gone, there is nothing that will hinder Inuyasha from falling in love with Kagome. He even made a promise to her that he will protect her with his Life. Though I can't imagine him tagging along with Kagome to school barefoot and on that form, I think they will make a beautiful couple.

Hmm I wonder what Inuyasha would look like if he was human just like her. He would probably be as cocky as Ranma and walk on fences. But instead of him doing martial arts,he would be using his sword to send his enemies flying in the air or in space . Now that would be interesting hehehee

And while I am babbling about the series, I've check the status and it's still buffering. What can a girl do to get some anime.Oh well I guess I have to wait for it a bit.No pain, no gain right. Hope you'll watch it too I'm sure you'll be hooked on the series just like I am.

New Moon

Hi guys I am back.As I've said I was ecstatic to have my own copy of New Moon so I can see  if it is better than Twilight. What I can say is that it improved somewhat but it's still boring.Maybe it's because I don't like the actors to begin with and maybe it's because I keep on comparing the movie  to the book.

What I did like on the movie are the following.

The special effects for the wolves are outstanding.Their movements looked natural and the way the wolf version of Jacob looked sad when Bella said she still chooses to be with Edward made me sad as well. The transformation from being human to a wolf is not sloppy and they didn't look cheap either.

They used some of the lines from the Book itself.I don't like it when they improvise or create scenes that didn't happen because there are a lot of material to work with in the first place.

I like their interpretation of Bella hearing Edward's voice when she is doing reckless things. It shows that they are thinking out of box and their efforts looks great on those scenes.

The eclipse is coming next and though I was disappointed on the two movies, I will still try to watch it and check if they did a good job.

Biggest Loser Asia

I was surfing on the net earlier when my boyfriend asked me to search for the winner of the Biggest Loser Asian Edition.I was able to see some episodes of the US version though and for me the transformation of those who joined were really amazing. For me regardless if they win or not, they still made something out of it.They were able to gain the life that was taken away from them when they gained those pounds and I think that is the best prize of all.

My search brought me to a yahoo page that contained the profiles of the Winner David Gurnani. He is a 25 year old Indonesian salesman who decided to enter the show when he  tipped the scale at 157 kg.

He was able to beat his contender by losing 83 kg which is more than half of his original weight when he joined.

The second runner up is a Filipino named Carlo Miguel. It was reported that he too has a dramatic transformation on the show and took on a leadership role by defending and encouraging another Filipino to not give up.

Congratulations Carlo and keep it up !

I think this will be my new addiction aside from clicking PTC sites.I have read about Morachat from a fellow blogger and decided to sign up. They have confirmed that this site pays plus i heard that they are also having fun while doing it.

Their rules are pretty much the same as the other forums except they pay you for every "informative" post that you write there. Can't wait to post there and participate on their threads.I just hope that I won't get any warnings or anything.

I'll let you know how it goes for me...

On to the next show

After a couple of months of being a bum, I decided to make an effort to apply for a permanent job.Sure I am making some when I am here online but I think it would be much better if I have a stable income that I can expect every month.

I woke up to a  sound of my phone ringing earlier, turns out she was from a call center that I have applied last friday. She said she was eager to call me because she found my resume to be diverse and interesting.Well that sure woke me up a bit and even though I am barely awake, I managed to answer all her questions about my previous job,my background and what I would want in a company.

She asked me to come for an excel test and though I was reluctant, I agreed. Turns out the test is about making a  report. The content of that report is familiar to me because those are the very things that I have been looking at for the past 2 years and 8 months at my previous company. However what shook me  is that I wasn't able to make my own formula, the instructions were there, the hints are also there screaming at my face.It took me a while to get it all together and right where I thought I made it, the excel closed.I exceeded the 25 minute limit.

Whatever confidence that is on my body at  that time was drained. The test was not finished and though the HR was sympathetic and gave me a thumbs up, there is no assurance that I will pass. On to the next show...

Addicted to PTC sites

I was a noob when I started way back but then I developed a liking to PTC sites. For one it is easy to do and since there are times that I am bored, why not click some ads. I was paid by some and now I am itching to get my hands on other PTC sites that are legit and paying.

Neobux ,Upbux and Orangebiz paid me before but then again Upbux encountered a problem with Paypal.Eventually their site went down and left a couple of clickers disappointed. On Neobux, I was nearing my 2nd pay out when my boyfriend asked me to click his ads for him,the next day we found our accounts suspended because it is not allowed to use two accounts on one i.p address. Oh well I should have seen that coming since I vaguely remembered their TOS saying something like that.

I haven't had any problems with Orangebizs because they paid me once and I might cash out again once I've earned more than a cent from them.Right now I am concerned with my Palmbux account because i have to awake by 6 am just so I can cash out my $2.00. I can't even get up that early plus my dad might kill me if I try to be online that early so I guess my $2.00 will stay with them.

Since two of my PTC sites are giving me problems right now, i searched and joined incrase bux and jphf bux.I found good reviews for both sites and decided to give it a try. Hopefully they wont give me any problems and won't ask me to wake up so early to cash out. I'm still looking for other PTC sites that I can try since I have so many dead times here.

Tips on buying Second hand cars

Second hand things sold for half their original price is all the rage today.Due to recession, most have taken an interest on these things in an effort to save money without sacrificing their need. There are a lot of reports of someone being tricked because of their love for a great bargain however it doesn't stop everyone from claiming their share of great finds.

Cars are not spared from this rage and i have often seen an ad that involves second hand  Ford Escort or Honda Civics being sold nearly half of their original price. Now from the prospect of bargain hunters this may sound like a pretty good deal since a car is being sold for less than what its really worth, however from the looks of things this may be a scam from the start.

If you are interested on buying second hand cars, here are some of the things that should be kept in mind to avoid being scammed.

First off, further information should be  provided on ads such as  the date when the car was bought, the current state it is in right now and the parts that have been replaced  over time so that the owners can anticipate how much mileage he can get from the car.

The owner should be open to the idea of the car being checked by a mechanic before the purchase. There can be any number of things wrong with a car that will not manifest itself when doing a test drive or a quick  look on the hood such as a broken timing belt .It can leave you stranded on the road when you least expect it so it is best that this is replaced so as not to cause further damage on the engine.

Be very meticulous when it comes to checking the car yourself, check for any signs of bumps or mismatched color  that indicate that the car was in a wreck before.Make sure that everything is in order and working properly. The seats, brakes and the water pump should not be worn out and in good condition. The odometer should also reflect the correct information and was not tampered with or rolled back.

Be knowledgeable on the type of car that you have in mind.Research for the one that fits your lifestyle and will give you the greatest mileage at the fraction of a price.Knowing what you want will make the dealer think twice on tricking you.

Compare prices.Go to other shops and ask for the best deals they have. The offer given to you by the first shop may be nothing compared to what the others can offer you. Do not be hasty and don't leave them the impression that you are after one car only. It will give them enough leverage to force you into an agreement that you may be sorry for in the near future.

Finally, think a hundred times before committing to a deal. Make sure that what you are being offered is the best one out there because once you signed , there's no turning back.

My baby is going to be a blogger too

Finally after a couple of months, my baby has decided to join me in my quest to earn online. He is now a fan of PTC sites and right now he is also thinking of starting a blog that will talk about his hobbies. It made me happy because he can now relate to most of what I am doing online and we can have another thing in common.

He is involved on various things and even I can't understand most of it, so it will be very interesting to see the topics that he will be writing about. Knowing how diverse his personality is, I'm sure that it will be worth the wait.
