My Diana Mini is now complete.

Remember when I created a post about my addiction to film cameras? One of the units I owned is the very cute Diana Mini, unfortunately at the time of my purchase the Diana Flash and it's adapter is not available.

I was browsing online when I saw the post that the adapter is now available so I immediately send in a text message to my trusted seller that I would like to order one. Luckily it was available yey!!!!

Now I can say that my Diana Mini is almost complete.I can install the flashes that I have to it. I also added in the Kola filters that she is also selling to my orders. I can almost imagine the fun pictures that I can do with these babies. What a way to start my Christmas!!!

Taking the plunge

After a couple of weeks of postponing and reading feedbacks for the local obagi that I bought, I finally decided to use it. I texted a popular seller regarding the version that she was selling so I could buy from her and see if her set will work on my skin. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any reply from her so I'll just use the one that I already have and pray that it works wonders on my skin.

I followed the morning routine and used the clarifying lotion before washing my face with the kojic acid included on the set. I'm liking the kojic bar because it doesn't have that stinging effect but then again I didn't let it sit in on my  face for more than a minute so I guess that is the reason why. After patting my face dry, I applied the sbf with placenta on my face which made me look like I have foundation on.

So far so good.....Will be trying the evening routine later on and hopefully I won't be looking like a freak. Maybe I should switch my evening routine with the morning routine since I am at the office by night and I am at home in the morning. Hmmmmmm.

Cute hairstyles to try out.

I know it doesn't look like that I'm "kikay" but I am. As i was surfing, I visited an online store that is selling a donut hair bun. It's not a donut that you can eat but a hair accessory that you can use so you can make a perfect hair bun just like below.  The instructions are not that clear so I googled a tutorial on how I can do this to my hair. I found one video and lucky me she even show I can make one myself using an old black socks that I have stored in my drawer. I'll try to make one during the week ends and hopefully my hair will look as pretty as the picture.

Since I was satisfied and kinda confident that I can do this. I went ahead and browse through several other videos made by another girl. I first watched her tutorial for a cute hair bow for weddings and I was really amazed on her technique.I also browsed several other videos that she has for proms, summer and for styling up your bangs. Don't have any bangs and I definitely don't want to cut my  hair but with all the styles that she showed, it made me wanna have bangs on my face.  Anyways I figured that I can just either buy the bangs that I can just attach or I can just part my  hair sideways just like what she did on the video.

Since I have a reunion coming up maybe I can try of the simpler styles that she have then I'll try the complicated ones when I have a lot of time to prepare.

This is her youtube channel just in case you want to take a peek.gotta go guys and take an umbrella with you if you're going out. Rain is pouring very hard right now.

Iron Fey Series

I haven't had the chance to use my kindle for a long time so last weekend i charged it and uploaded some of my old  books stored on my drive.Since I have read them for a couple of times, I decided to look for something new to read that doesn't involve vampires.I think with everyone talking about Breaking Dawn, it made me want to look for something fresh and not that popular yet.

I chanced upon Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series and upon reading the plot, I said what the hell and downloaded the whole thing. The cover was vaguely familiar and I just remembered that it is being sold at Fully Booked for 400 plus pesos(sorry not familiar on how much it really is)

The story is pretty much the same, a girl bullied all her life and trying to fit it then suddenly right in the middle of something monumental which may be her 16th, 17th or 18th birthday, in this case on her 16th bday. A series of events will  unfold letting her in on a secret kept from her by her parent/s that will forever change how she views herself and the world that she is living in.

I'm not really expecting much but I was thrilled that the author was able to manipulate this seemingly predictable plot into something that I can read well enough till I hear the roosters signal that it is already morning.I was able to finish all 4 four books in one day. Starting at 5pm in the affternoon and then ending at almost 6 in the morning. Of course I ate dinner, watch Tv in between just so you know so maybe it didn't really took me the whole day, probably only half a day.

My favorite character in this would be Puck, that guy is really fun to be with and no to mention very much loyal and in love to the main character. He seems much more real, genuine and reachable( toothbrush?!).No matter how many times he was pushed away , he always manage to get there in the nick of time to save the girl from danger.

The other guy, well not so much. He reminds me of how authors make the leading guy too perfect to the point that even if the girl has some redeeming qualities, she would eventually think that he is too good for her and deserves someone better than her.

Haven't read the two novellas yet but I am hoping that I would be able to come next week end. It may not be that much but since I have thoroughly enjoyed the series might as well go all way and read it as well.

Glutathione and Local Obagi

These are the two products that I have tried a couple of years before. It was a big hit then and I was one of those  who raved how it worked and how my skin and my face has gone from blah! to wow in a month. For the glutathione part, I mostly try Japan brands and I must say that Ishigaki and Tathion307 are effective for me except for KB which only brought out cyctic pimples. It took me a couple of months before my face cleared up but it did left me with some marks that it is still visible if you look closely.

I have been very lazy on my beauty regimen so my face is not as good as it looked back then.No cystic pimples thank God for that, but I think  I 'll need the help of those two super products so I can improve how I look. Since Tathione307 is not yet available, my trusted seller recommended a new brand to use,RX glutathione. It is also Japan made and BFAD approved too.Haven't seen any reviews from it though but her site says that the dermas sell these for 5,500 pesos. Just got it from her for 1,500 so I'm guessing she buys by bulk or knows the direct source of this brand.

Looking into the supplementary facts, it shows that it has 500mg of Reduced L- glutathione,100 mg of Vit C and 100mg of L Lipolic acid. She said that I didn't need to pop in Vit C since it is already incorporated on the product so I can save money.Hmmmm will test if this is as effective as the other brands I  have tried.

Next is the Local Obagi. I have also tried it a couple of years but I don't remember if my skin improved or not because of this. A lot of reviews  has been done for this product and the raves and rants are somewhat balanced. Will probably start using this after my High School reunion since I can't risk having a lot of pimples or redness on my face.

Will update you guys if I have any negative reactions on the new gluta  and local obagi. Thanks!

Wish list Part 2

Sorry about emo post yesterday, seems like I was really down at that time hence the riddle phrases. I was browsing on my blog reader when I came across a lot of beauty products that I wanted to try even though the price made me back of a little bit.

First on my list is Eyeliptex2, read Ms. Nikki's review on this product and I agree on everything that she has said. Eyebags and dark circles are my biggest concern since they always make me look haggard regardless if I try to sleep early everyday. I'm not expecting this to work instantly but the confirmation that it works is enough to make me want to take a splurge and save on skin products. It's 2,600 pesos by the way :)

2nd on my wish list is the GSL Z-Pore. Again I'm an avid reader of Ms.Nikki's blog and her review on this made me utter WOW! I am guilty of having large pores, oily skin and blackheads so I am seriously considering this one. My only drawback is the Vit E part.Although it is commonly known to give clear skin, unfortunately it manages to make my skin break out. I'll have to think this one out. This is 1,600 pesos.

3rd one on my list, you guessed it right. Another skin care product that I've read from her blog.It's Tri-Aktiline Total Face Instant Line Reducing Moisturizer. It is facial moisturizer designed to target wrinkles.Since   I'm in my late twenties, wrinkles are just around the corner so it doesn't hurt to get to it while I can still pass for a college student. Price for this baby is a whopping 2,600 pesos.

So if I purchase all of this it will be ......6,9000 pesos. Ummmm ok wishlist indeed LOL

Oh well hopefully someone can buy either of the 3 for me. Calling my boyfriend *cough* cough* LOL

Reminiscing

I don't have much to do online and was browsing over the pics that I have a couple of years back in Multiply. Though there was a lot a lot conspiracies, issues and a lot of bickering at that time, the photos that I have back then shows me smiling , laughing and even with my head thrown back with my throat exposed because of my big grin.

It's funny how I tried erasing those memories but when I look at those pictures, I found myself wishing that I can still be that smiling girl laughing her head off over something that's incredibly simple. Maybe it's the way that I always have faith that regardless of the bad things that are happening around me, I still have something to look forward to. I guess I kinda lost that part of me and instead of concentrating on what good I have in my life, I start zooming in on what I don't have or those that I am the verge of losing. The negativity started seeping inside me and whatever cheerfulness I have is slowly draining out of me, replaced by an overwhelming combination of self pity, anger and jealousy.

Maybe it's just the pictures showing something that is untrue or it is possible that maybe I was indeed happier at that time. Or maybe I am just feeling under the weather today...Will try to sleep it off if not i'll just rely on my dresses to make me feel good and beautiful. :)

Wishlist for Xmas

It's that time again for a wishlist and right now I find myself looking for a decent android phone and a budget priced digital camera. Been drooling over Experia Ray but when I read the reviews, my awes turned to awwwww. Seems like the memory is a bit lacking and performance is not that special. So now I'm back to square one on which android phone to buy.

Also wanted a digital camera but still unsure if I would want Sony,Canon or Nikon.Hmmmm will research more and will let you know how it goes. :)

Kyoshiro and the Eternal Sky

Animax and Hero are my favorite go to channels when it comes to anime. I was watching Hero earlier and came across this cute anime, come to think of it every anime has it's cuteness factor.

When the commercials came, the title they flashed is Kyoshiro and the Eternal Sky. According to Wikipedia, Kyoshiro and the Eternal Sky is the title of a Japanese manga created by Kaishaku which was first serialized in the Japanese shōnen manga magazine Monthly Dragon Age in May 2006.

It  revolves around the life of Kū Shiratori, a seemingly normal high school girl, who enjoys school life in the giant city Academia. Academia is thought of as a symbol of recovery for humanity since already ten years have passed since the greatest disaster mankind had ever seen occurred. Kū has recently been having a recurring dream where a prince meets her and takes her away. One day, while all the students at her school are preparing for the upcoming school festival, the prince whom she has met several times in her dreams appears. The prince, whose name is Kyoshiro Ayanokōji, requests of her just as he had done in Kū's dreams, "Let's go, together...."

It has 12 episodes and I'm pretty sure that what I have seen earlier is the first one. Will try and search if I can download the whole series as I am pretty excited on  how this will turn out.

I've won ! I've won yipeee

I rarely win anything online so it was a surprise that I got a "Congratulations! you've won" email from none other than * drum roll please* Nikki from Askmewhats.com . I thought it was one of those spam letters that got away from Gmail's spam filters but then again I remembered that I have joined the Crumplers give away contest.

I guess due to the movie The lion, the witch and the wardrobe, it wouldn't be so weird to have a carrot, a noose and a limpet in one sentence.   Although carrot is a pretty normal word, the others are ummm well they made me scratch my head and think of several hilarious things especially the word limpet

So thanks again Nikki for proving that I can still be lucky at some point and for the Fruit machine. Can't wait to use those  :)

DIY Trim and Haircut

I am not a fan of haircut and if split ends does not exist then my hair would have been floor length just like Rapunzel by now only it does not have healing powers nor does it glow in the dark. The reason being is that I always ended up looking like some hair cutters guinea pig right at the time that my picture needs to be taken for graduation.

Since I have made it known that I am online shopper and a fan of DIY, I was so happy that there is someone who is genius enough to invent something that can be used to cut layers on hair without going to a salon. They called it crea clip and  so far I only saw one store selling this. I immediately ordered one and watch the instructional videos posted on the website so I can test if I it easy as they made it look.

It wasn't but I was able to cut my hair the way I wanted, with layers framing the face and the back was cut v shaped. Now I don't  have to go salons and explain the haircut that I wanted.I can just do it at home yipeeee!

Much ado about tickers and dermas

I just logged in on my facebook after mindlessly reading about facials, derma rollers etc when I saw those horrible tickers, you know those live updates that is posting real time updates of your friends so if you have 1000 plus go figure. I thought I had those disabled when I switched my main language into Filipino but then again maybe I am their first guinea pig for the return of those pesky things.

I am also reading about dermas since my face is one big oil mine for the past few days. I am intrigued to consult either the infamous Dr.SixF or the budget friendly derma from  Tiende named Dr. Leah. The feedbacks were really enticing because they talk on how their faces improved with the meds and the treatments plus their oiliness have dropped dramatically. My only worry is the pricking part, I scar easily so I don't want those almost invisible marks to be visible and to double up which will lead to another problem.

I'm thinking of going back to Clarity since the staff there are really friendly. I was suppose to have a diamond peel there last week end but was postponed due to several active pimples and when I gave in to the free consultation, they prescribed some meds like benzoyle peroxide facial wash plus toners, sunblock and something to put on my pimples. The derma didn't even ask about my skin type just what i used on my face. The part that I didn't like. There might be a purging stage when I use those meds.I don't want to go through that again so for now I'll just keep my usual regime plus order my usual gluta from my suking beauty seller :P

Hoping against Hope

Earlier , I was able to chat with the owner of the multiply site where I ordered my contact lens. I was really furious that she kept on deleting my comments on her page and then posting a Pre Christmas promo that she is organizing .She sent in a friend request and then told me what happened to our orders. She apologized and said that  the package is already here in Manila and it was detained in customs.

She informed me that she sent in text messages to those who ordered from her about her current situation. When I told her that I did not receive any text from her, she asked me to send her a text message which I did. She also said that she replied to all of our messages on Multiply but again when I checked, there was none. I gave her my multiply id and the date when I last messaged her so she can check for herself but after waiting for a few minutes of waiting. She logged off on FB.

I am not sure if I should still hope that I would be getting my order but I appreciate that she explained what is happening to our order. What I don't understand and what pissed me off even more is her habit of deleting comments from customers asking for updates. There are some inconsistencies on her story but I can only wait if what she is claiming is true or not. Will probably wait until this month and if she fails to update us again then there is no other choice left but to report her to the bank and to the groups that she belongs to just so everyone will exercise caution when buying online.

Lesson learned, regardless if their account is premium or not. We should always be extra careful when it comes to buying things online because there is always a chance that they will turn fraud. :(

Succubus revealed

Oh my god I was finally able to get my hands on the last installment of the Georgina Kincaid series. Just when I thought that I had to order it from amazon.com, there it was on the shelf of Powerbooks. I wasted no time on dragging bf inside  the store and hauling the book over to the cashier counter. Never mind it was not included on my budget for the day, for me a bestselling book like that is worth the financial trouble.

I was so happy on the ending that I was teary eyed before I was on the last page. It answered a lot of questions though and confirmed a lot of suspicions but then again I can't imagine any other ending for this book. I don't want to give out any spoilers to anyone who has yet to read it so  I would just like to give a big hug to the author who has made this series a very memorable one.

Karma?

I just wanted to warn everyone from this multiply seller. I have ordered a pair of contact lens from her and paid for my order on Oct 3rd. I have constantly asked her about the status of my order and she said that she is still processing it. The last time that I have asked and received the same reply was on Nov 4. It is now Nov 20 and still no contact lens.

This is so frustrating and to think that she has a premium account.I have ordered from her before so I didn't think that this could happen to me. Sign :( I am still hoping though. Is this karma since I have placed an order from another site and I will just pay for it tomorrow after I promised that I will pay on Nov 4th? Sigh :(

Another bad day

I am so not in a good today. I just got a warning for my flat shoes during our dress down and then I found out that a certain co worker of mine is trying to spread some rumors about me, good thing my friends don't believe it. Then when I got home, I found out that my brother is using the kindle that I can't use because I cant charge it. When I asked my dad about it, he said that he doesn't need to ask my permission since I am not using the thing anyway. Seriously, he gets mad when his things are taken without asking for his approval then I will get that stupid excuse.

I'll just sleep it off then before I blow I am seriously tempted to get his things and then throw that stupid excuse on his face. Arrrrghhh.

Dead Tired with very good news

Just got back from my yoga class and I am so freaking tired. Our instructor got us to do advanced stuff with me pretty much looking like a human frog with my face kissing the floor.Didn't really know that i was that flexible till I was able to assume the position with our instructor holding me in place.

I also got some very good news from my boss. With Thanksgiving drawing near, I don't have to go work on the 24th and the 25th wooohoo.Long week end for me. And then there is a possibility that I will also be at home on the 26th of Dec and Jan 2nd of next year. I am so loving my account right now hehehe.

Anyways i'll be catching some zzzzs so see yah tomorrow again and I apologize if I wasn't able to blog yesterday. Internet was down for some reason but I'm glad that it's kinda ok now. Better than nothing right :P

Craving for Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings

I am a chickenarian (someone who never gets tired of eating chicken dishes) so if you have been known me for quite some time, it is but normal for me to crave it everyday. I have been browsing earlier looking for something worth while to read when I came across this

To think that I just promised myself that I'll go on a diet. Tsk tsk bad internet!
Anyways since we are talking about this particular dish. I researched this yummy treat and found out that this originated from Buffalo New York. This is usually the wing part of the chicken that is fried with out any breading and then coated with  a vinegar-based cayenne hot pepper sauce  plus butter.Traditionally it is served with celery sticks plus blue cheese or ranch dressing.

Haven't seen any celery sticks on Shakey's when we tried out their version of this sumptuous treat but they do have the blue cheese dressing where we can dip these in.Though I wasn't that impressed when i first tried it , I'll cross my fingers and hope that the next restaurant serving buffalo wings will change my mind and make this next in line to my all time favorite KFC .
