You win some,you lose some

After a lot of stress, moolah and effort. My passport will be delivered at my house on March 13,2010. I was so happy when they accepted all the ids that i've brought that i am beaming at the attendant, she is also happy because she just checked everything i presented.

Before my turn she was literally shouting  at the top of her lungs to some guy who has no id besides his postal id(gulp just like me when i applied the first time).I was so nervous that when it was my turn, i gave her all the id's that i have. I was able to breath easy when she checked everything and gave me the payment slip ,she said that i will present it to the cashier when i pay for the processing fee.

I proceeded to the auditorium afterwards so they can record my information, signature and thumb mark on their auditorium .It was almost 3pm when i finished the whole thing and since i was so famished, i decided to jollibee where i rewarded myself with a spicy chicken meal and rocky road sundae.

By the way the authentication of my TOR and diploma was unsuccessful because the officer from CHED forgot to affix their signature on the certificate. I may need to go back to my university to sort this one out since i wasnt allowed to go to CHED directly.

Oh well , i cant have everything but i'm happy that i do have something that mattered.

Read on....

I came across a site that provides certification for various skills for free. I immediately joined in to see what they have to offer and found a personality test that really made me say wow because it is really accurate. Read on

Your Social Boldness: Introverted VS Extraverted
------------------------------------------------------------
You are quite introverted. Socially, you prefer a more
relaxed, low-key environment, rather than the hustle and
bustle of a wild night in the city. You tend not to talk a
lot, but when you do people listen, because when you say
something it has meaning. You are not seeking the
limelight, usually you prefer to let the attention-mongers
do their thing while you observe. In an unfamiliar setting,
you tend to be cautious and shy while you evaluate the
circumstances. You prefer to avoid conflict, so you do not
put yourself into a threatening situation. Your shyness may
be perceived as unfriendly, but that could not be further
from the truth. People need to be patient with you and take
the time to get to know the complex, private you.

Your Agreeableness: Candid VS Considerate
------------------------------------------------------------
You are moderately candid. You know how people in a group
tend to agree with each other so that no one is dissenting?
Well, you are not one of those people. You are gifted with
the ability to make tough and objective decisions, even if
it goes against the popular consensus. At work, you are the
maverick with your no-nonsense, self-reliant and
independent nature. You have a realistic outlook on life,
and as a result you are more tough-minded than
tender-minded. You prefer if others are independent,
because going out of your way to help someone who you know
is capable of helping themselves is not particularly
appealing to you. In social relationships, you tend to be
somewhat guarded and will only reveal the real you once you
trust the other person. Your level of self-esteem is
admirable, and you would probably prefer if others were as
confident, so that you would not have to take steps to
boost their ego.

Your Self-Control: Impulsive VS Cautious
------------------------------------------------------------
You are quite impulsive. You are an independent thinker.
You do not need a book of rules to tell you how to behave -
you know inside what is right and what is wrong and you act
accordingly. You are able to live life spontaneously,
because you are able to make decisions without endless
deliberation. In fact, when you and another person are
making a decision, you are able to reach a solution fairly
quickly while the other person has to cautiously plan every
step. Eventually, they will agree with you, which is
frustrating when your first impulse is usually the correct
one in the decision-making process. You tend to be a little
more casual, and you do not feel out of sorts when your
home or office is not perfectly neat. In general, your life
is pleasurable - you know how to have fun and will never be
accused of being staid or stuffy.

Your Anxiety Level: Excitable VS Relaxed
------------------------------------------------------------
You are very excitable. You do not like stressful
situations. You tend to react emotionally to stress, which
can lead to bad moods, or even anxiety, anger, or
depression. You like to be treated fairly, and may become
upset if you sense that someone is trying to cheat you. You
may find urges and cravings irresistible to the point that
you are giving into them even if you know you will regret
it or feel guilty later. Sometimes you may feel
uncomfortable in social situations, even thinking that
others are judging you. This self-consciousness may show
through as shyness, because you do not want people to think
poorly of you. You tend to worry and are apprehensive in
unfamiliar circumstances.

Your Openness to Change: Practical VS Imaginative
------------------------------------------------------------
You are very practical. You want just the facts - keep it
plain and simple. You are practical, pragmatic and well
grounded. You have no time for carelessness and
impracticality. You prefer to keep your emotions to
yourself, rather than exposing your feelings to the world.
Life moves along much better for you when you can maintain
a schedule and have routine in your life. Unexpected
surprises and chaos are a major inconvenience to you.  You
tend to be conservative and are somewhat resistant to
change. Others respect your ability to act properly in your
everyday life.

The way you Think/Reason: Concrete VS Abstract
------------------------------------------------------------
You are very concrete in your thinking. You tend to prefer
the plain, straightforward, and obvious to the complex,
ambiguous, and subtle. You might even regard the arts and
sciences with suspicion, regarding these endeavors as
abstruse or of no practical use.  You believe that
intellect should not be equated with intelligence, as
intellect is an intellectual style, not an intellectual
ability.

My real grade

Had my eyes checked again and it seems that my real grade is 350,not 400 and 375. My tita mentioned that those who worked on mall branches tend to lie so that customers does not have any choice but to buy a new pair of glasses or contact lenses. I was surprised because the opto seems to be genuinely nice and not the type to lie but then again it is the policy given to  them.

It was explained to me that when you are given a higher grade than usual, it tends to demand even more on your eyes.Your cornea is stretched to the limit by the contact lense and will leave your eyes very tired by the time you take it off.

Good thing that my contact lens is due by March, by then i can have another pair made for my real grade.

Dante's Inferno

I was browsing earlier for something to buy when i came across  a copy of The Inferno. It was written by Dante Alighieri and was translated by John Ciardi. My boyfriend mentioned it to me last year as an interesting read and i was curious to see what made him read it.

I was lucky enough to find a copy and i immediately grabbed it before anyone else can take it away from me. I also saw the next book on the Sookie Stockhouse series but i figured that i can get it later on when i have enough funds. Anyway, Inferno is the 1st part of the poem written by Dante. It tells an amazing tale of a man who journeys through the depths of Hell. In the poem, Hell is depicted as nine circles of suffering located within the Earth. Allegorically, the Divine Comedy represents the journey of the soul towards God, with the Inferno describing the recognition and rejection of sin.

I just breezed through it and i will try to read it later on before i go  to sleep.I'll let you know how it goes :)

Craving for a Mushroom Burger

M y bf and i usually text each other everyday on how things are going on.Most of the time we ended up making the other crave for something delicious.Yesterday he mentioned that he was eating a very yummy and mouth watering Mushroom burger.

They had it delivered at their place in Last Pinas and he even gave me the website of those sumptuous burgers. I laughed when he mentioned that he thought that the delivery came from Tagaytay wherein it was made in their other branch located in Quezon city.

I visited their site and a big picture of the burger welcomed me.I think the site is new since most of the info like the prices and description of the burgers aren't written there yet but i think words aren't needed when you view their products.A mere glance and the viewer would be hypnotized to grab the phone and have a burger delivered to his/her residence. Good thing i wasn't that hungry when i visited this site or else i would have dialed the number automatically.

Back to business (i think)

Hi guys sorry if i wasn't able to update my blog for a couple of days.As i've mentioned on my previous blog entry , i now own a gorgeous laptop which is beside my bed whenever i go to sleep. My brother recently tried to install an OEM version of Windows 7 on my lappy using a downloaded version on the net.(i was using a trial version)Sadly it didn't work, either the disk is to be blamed for it or the downloaded version really sucks. So my lappy is now sporting an unofficial Windows Vista ultimate and a trial version of Avast.

I was not able to click on adgitize ads or do my drops since i was scared that i'll get some sort of malware, trojan and god knows what else. I have tried earlier and apparently my laptop is protected for now(cross my fingers) and up until April.

When my brother comes here for a visit, i think either my os will be succesfully upgraded or my laptop would end up being reformatted for a couple of times. Therefore making its life span shorter. Oh well so long as my laptop is working and i can use it  for my online activities, i am happy :)an envelope absolutely, positively has to be there overnight

My own laptop

Finally after so many years of dreaming and wishing for my very own laptop. I  have one yipeee!!!!! Its an Acer Inspire 4736Z with the following specifications.

Intel Pentium processor T4400
2.2 ghz, 800 Mhz FSB
14.0 HD Led LCD
2 GB Memory
250 GB HDD
Built in Crystal camera

For more info on its specifications click here specs

So far i love everything bout this laptop, browsing has been a breeze, the keyboard is perfect and the clarity of the graphics has  blown me away.

Well except for the times that i accidentally touched the touch pad and it has brought me to another page or paragraph, everything has been so perfect.

I haven't taken off the plastic on the cover and for the webcam.I wish i wouldn't have too since it is still crystal clear,so clear that its as if i have a blaring light all over the place. Now all i need is a halo on my head and wings on my back hehhehee.

Fees and more fees

Sorry wasn't able to blog yesterday. I had to go to school to get my Transcript of Records plus i also have a gimmick with my cosmo friends. I haven't seen the pics yet but i know that it will turn out to be really funny to look at. I'm not sure if somebody had posted it yet on Facebook but if i do see it, rest assured that i will be sharing it here.

Back to my TOR, they have given me a claim stub to be presented on DFA .Apparently CHED already validated it and passed it on to DFA.I also found out that i have to pay 100 pesos to DFA since they will be  making sure that its authentic (again?!) After all that, i have to go to UAE embassy to have the twice authenticated TOR authenticated by them for a fee of 2,000 plus pesos.

It was set to be released on Feb 19 and i have to go to DFA to claim it so i decided since im there already, ill give my application another try. Apparently Postal ID is not a valid id to them which leaves me with a bunch of papers that is not accepted. They are asking me for a goverment issued id and the best that i could do at the moment would be to wince and go back another day.

Since i don't want to experience another hassling day,  i searched on the net for the easiest way to get one valid id. I  found a girl from sulit offering to have my TIN id delivered to me for the price of ...breath in breath out ....570. I gave her my info and proceeded to LBC to pay for it.Turns out there is a fee for having cash delivered to her so it cost me a total of 620 pesos. I received it earlier,id is good and i was happy that now i am officially recognized as a Filipino with a valid identity. Now i just have to affix my signature, attach my 1x1 picture and then have it laminated.

Since i already spend cash for an id that is supposedly free, i'll have to process my passport by myself.Im still thinking if i will have it delivered for a fee of 100 pesos and if i will have it rushed so i can get it after 7 days. Anyways the sooner i get the whole thing done, the sooner i can breath easy hopefully with enough cash to cater to my whims.

Work at home sounds good

I received an email from Kgb saying that i am eligible for their training. I took their Special Agents challenge last week and though i didn't pass the first time, i tried again and again till i passed every one of them. I was always failing on the last part so i figured that i would not be accepted so i was surprised when i heard from them.

The reason i took the challenge is because i found the idea of working at home interesting, i once worked in a call center and dressing up everyday is something that i don't want to do anymore. I figure that if i could work here at home, i could save the time dressing up and commuting.

I hope that i would be accepted, i already finished step 1 and step 2 so i am just awaiting further instructions to continue. For those who would want to try it out here is the link

My bro accidentally broke the videocard installed on this pc so it took me a long time to get online. They have to take it out then take it back again arrrgh. Anyways i tag along with my bro on gilmore to look for a laptop that i can buy.My ceiling price is 30,000 pesos and since i was just canvassing, i didnt bring my atm. I should have since there was a sale there. an acer unit with an orginal price of 34,000 is there on sale for 27,000 if you will pay for it on a cash basis.

Oh well, ill be back there next week so i can buy that unit. MY brother already have a windows 7 disc here so  i don't need to worry as well as an AVAST program that i can install on my future laptop. I just wish he wont screw it up just as he had screwed up on fixing the videocard or else ill kill him amp.

To be weak is to be strong.

A friend of mine got a shock yesterday because of some insensitive dude on the forum. I cant really blame her for feeling really violated and weak at the time. It is a natural reaction and i would not say that it is a sign of weakness.

It takes a lot of guts to walk away , to detach yourself and to not stoop at the dude's level. It is for me a sign of being strong, strong enough to acknowledge what just happened and to stand up afterwards. I cant really say what i would have done if some dude mentioned something like that, but i do know that i will just walk away and let karma chase that guy for me.

I was raised a different way and though i can say that i am a girl who feels all those things, i need to act like i am strong and can handle everything even though i cant. You see i was the eldest and it was embedded in my system that i will be the one who would elevate my family's status. My path is already laid out for me and any negative feelings are something that should be suppressed or brushed away so as not to cause a ripple within the family.

Friendship for me is something that has an expiration date, something that wouldn't last if i don't give anything that would benefit them. Most of what i have called friends in the past either just liked me because i am the only one around  or because they need something from me and shortly i stop opening up to people.I was sick of letting them know who i am only to be taken for granted,to be used and to be a substitute for somebody who's missing.

I was fortunate to have the chance to really meet those people who knows me and takes the time to ask how i am.To talk to me even though i am not always the one to initiate the conversation. At least i know that those who stay with me are friends and those who didn't exert any effort are not what they seemed to be.

Meeting a variety of personalities shaped me in a way that made it seemed that i am brave for some.Brave enough to see that not all people will accept me, like me or even respect me.It takes a lot of guts to set out alone but it even more so when you acknowledge that you need somebody which is something that i have a hard time doing until now.

Disappointed over Legion

This movie is on my list to be watched this 2010. The trailer was fantastic and i was thrilled because i was kinda getting sick of the vampire mania.

Since i dont have the funds to watch any movies i decided to watch it from a pirated dvd. The movie started out dark and its not because its pirated, i barely saw anything and i was expecting it to be full of angels(how naive of me) but what i did get is an angel who tried to pass off as a human.

Turns out he saw how mankind still has a few good men and doesn't want to give up on them yet. I was laughing when he said that Gabrielle (messenger of God) is so eager to please because i remembered the Gabrielle from Constantine who is greedy for Power.

Anyways its not really what i expected it to be, the movie is kinda dragging and is lingering on almost every character, most probably so we the audience can understand why he wanted to save humanity from being destroyed. The action started near the end and its not really something that will make you jump out of your feet and say "wow".The fight scene...a wingless angel who switched sides now armed with a gun ...well you cant win against an angel who protects himself with his bullet proof wings right.

If they have wanted to show the audience a different side of the angels, they certainly did show how bad they can be just so they can uphold the greater good. This movie is definitely not for those who wants action and those who are bored easily. But if you wanted to just have a glimpse of bad angels, you can sleep it off and just have your seat mate wake you up before credits roll in.

Honest mechanics where are you ?

Having my own ride is something that i would want to have in the near future.I figure that owning an automobile would make my life easier and would teach me a thing or two on memorizing places. I was used to commuting and even though it would take me to my desired destination, i would be on the losing end if those drivers decided to take a rest and leave passengers like me stranded.

I am no expert when it comes to cars and even recognizing their brand is something that i am having difficulty with, i think the only brand that i do recognize is a Honda Civic which is what my best friend owns. He is so far the only person that i trust to tell me about the best, cheapest or the most durable car on the market. Some are only concern on how the car would look like and how they can attract chicks with it so i dare not ask them about cars.

He recently took his car to a mechanic to have the head gasket checked and when i asked him how the check up went and how much it cost, he just pulled out his empty wallet and sigh. Now i know why he cant eat that much , it was because of that and the recent modifications that he had done to his car.

Based on what i do hear about from my other guy friends, maintaining a car is itself a challenge of logic and vanity. It will also drain you of whatever savings that you have if and when the car brakes down when you least expect it.They have also mentioned that coercing a car owner into buying something useless for his car is the most common scheme of repair shops nowadays. Some are fortunate enough to realize that they have been tricked while others remain in secrecy, not having the courage to complain and be humiliated. So having a mechanic who is honest enough to fix it without overcharging is something that is rare to come by.

I chanced upon a site that looks promising and can be a great help to car enthusiasts and for those dreaming to have one of their own. It has a search engine for Los Angeles auto repair  shops with the most positive feedbacks of satisfied customers. They also keep your information so you wont have to repeat yourself everytime you go there. Its like having a trusty advisor who knows a great deal about you and how to handle your problems.

Too bad its not located here, otherwise i would have recommended my friend to go there.

Adgitize is back

Yipee adgitize is back again, i was worried when it was down for two days. I was used to clicking 100 ads per day and it kinda threw off my routine. Im not really sure how we are going to b compensated for those two days that we have missed but i sure hope that it would be something worthwhile.

Oh well lets see what will happen next .....

I signed up for Socialspark!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

SocialSpark was recommended by a good friend of mine and though i was not really in a hurry to sign up, i was curious and decided to see what this site is all about and what it can offer me. I browsed around and found the site friendly and inviting. I was tempted and after a couple of minutes i surrendered and signed up for an account.

Signing up for an account is very simple and will not require you to fill up complicated forms. After a minute, a confirmation email was sent to my address and i clicked it right away so i can begin exploring the site.

At the first page, opportunities are shown and i was ecstatic for the opportunities that await me if ever  i do continue to be an active blogger here. The possibilities seems endless because they not only provide bloggers the opportunity to earn extra money, they also encourage their users to connect to those who have the same interest.

For a blogger like myself who loves to write, this site has provided me with interesting ways to earn and have fun at the same time.

Application for a passport

Since im planning to go abroad, i decided to go ahead and apply for a passport. I was accompanied by a new friend of mine who thought that his passport is due today, turns out that he will be able to claim it the next day. He was kind enough to guide me on the tedious process of applying for one, even giving me vital information to save me the time and money.

The line is long and fortunately the process is not as frustrating as when applying for an NBI clearance. We started the process about 10 am and i was able to finish the first phase near eleven so it was fast. I was scared to find that i have to go back there for the verification of requirements but i was assured that it wouldn't take long.

Hopefully i would not have any problem on the 2nd phase since i am planning to have it process for 7 days for  an additional 250 pesos and hiring either LBC,2go or Air21 to have it delivered at my house.

Cars anyone

I have a best friend who is a total addict when it comes to cars.So addict that he tells me everything about his car whenever we get together. It is really annoying at first till i researched online and found out what head gasket means through Repair Pal.

Just so you guys know what i am referring to, this company is located at Emeryville,California and has been founded on 2007.Growing weary and tired from dealing with overcharging mechanics, vehicle enthusiasts and entrepreneurs decided to form a company aiming to share their knowledge with others at a fair price.

I am not much of a car fanatic like him so it was interesting for me to see that they have a list of Car brands like
Honda Civic with their corresponding symbols illustrated on the site. It also have helpful tips on the what, where and hows of repairing any part of the car which is perfect for new car owners or for those who are planning to buy one in the near future.

A search engine for the Los Angeles auto repair with the most positive feedbacks of satisfied customers is embedded on the site so you can find one near your location.Since most mechanics have a tendency to make a simple problem look complicated making the costs of repair so much higher than anticipated, knowing where to get your car fixed at a reasonable price is a blessing on its own. They also keep your information so you wont have to repeat yourself everytime you go there. Its like having a trusty advisor who knows a great deal about you and how to handle your problems.

So if you are lost on how you can cope with a car enthusiast or you just want to know more about cars. Why dont you look up their site on the internet, im sure you'll find it informative  and who knows you might become a fanatic just like my bestfriend.

Awaiting Take off

I was offered a job in U.A.E by a good friend of mine and since the deal is going to be sealed by March, i have a month to find a part time job so i have something that will give me some sort of income. I have received my backpay and although it is enough for me to survive for a couple of months, imagining the amount to become smaller and smaller is something that i want to avoid.

I have a couple of applications that is still pending and if fate permits i would want to work a little while before eventually going abroad. Actually going abroad to work is something that just lingers on my mind from time to time. It still depends on the work offered since the job description given isnt specific enough for me to figure out what to really prepare myself for. Plus the nagging conversations that me and my boyfriend had is making me consider that there are a lot of things that i really need to think about before plunging myself into something that i know nothing of.

Im not exactly sure where i'll end up in the end, im torn and though i have decided to go there, i really really wanted to be sure that it would be the best offer that i have. As ive said to a friend, im not pessimistic im just being realistic.

Think before Spending

Money is something that needs to be earned and for you to possess a staggering amount, hard work, perseverance and sacrifices are needed. A lot of us look at money as something that needs to be used the moment it lands on our hands, its as if it would expire the moment we take it out of bank.

I do not understand how some can think like that and live for many years, slowly becoming a slave of debt, living a life of extravagance that they cant afford in reality. I often advised my officemates to save money, to have at least savings of their own so they can survive for months if  they lose their jobs. However those fail to reach their ears ,even if they do try to follow my advice they have no money to put on banks since they are already promised to the creditors.

Since i consider myself a good handler when it comes to money, i try to learn as much as i could so i can be secure and my assets (if any) are protected in the future.

Insurance  for me is a worthy investment for someone who would want security after their prime years, it is something that would sustain you when you are already on the verge of retiring. It is also one way of making your money grow, faster than when you deposit it on the bank.

The type of insurance depends on the lifestyle of the consumers and what they specifically can afford. It is of utmost importance that the term chosen is something that would not be a burden to them , instead it should give them breathing space to invest on other things or to go on their everyday lives as if nothing has changed.

The coverage is also something that should be taken into consideration, the rates should equal the coverage that you agreed to otherwise the rates will be hollow and will not fully protect you when the times that you need it the most.

So now that I've given you something to think about.Think before spending all those cash. You have earned it and you deserve to enjoy it the right way and at the right time.

My first date

Hi nikogirl i am so sorry for entering my link and forgetting my post. Anyways as promised....

I am not really sure on when my first date really took place but what i do remember is that my ex took me to fastfood chain then afterwards he decided to take me to a nearby park.Guess what that park is Luneta Park.

We would set up all the newspapers in the area chosen and then lie on it under a nearby tree while talking about sweet nothings. Its kinda cheap i know but it was what he can afford at that time just so we can be together. I remember going there every Sunday from morning and then leaving when its about to get dark.

I was always afraid of what my dad would say back then, his suspicions always being confirmed afterwards when i am unable to answer some of his questions. I felt like they were being foolish back then, always putting me in line however i do understand their concern since teenage pregnancy is rampant at the time.

We were like that for almost 6 yrs sneaking around, eventually i got tired and broke up with him much to the delight of my parents. I saw the flaws that my parents did  however i never did forget his perfections, the traits that made me fall in love for him.

My ex is now married with a little girl named Cherish Jamie while i am happily in a relationship with a guy that i love to bits.

Legend of the Seeker

Im not usually addicted to series especially since im only at home during the weekends, neither is my dad. I think it started when he found a series that caught his attention. The series is The Legend of the Seeker, it is based on a book by Terry Goodkind about a man destined to save mankind from the Dark ruler Lord Rahl.

The story has amazing twist and turns so im sure that you'll be addicted to it since you can download the series using Torrent. Anyways we just finished the 1st season even before it is telecaston tv and now were on Season Two. Cant wait to watch episode 9.
